Native American Traditions

A Native American Tradition

There are many different Native American tribes, or nations, and each has a rich and varied set of cultural practices and traditions, as well as symbols and rituals. A Intimate Sedona Wedding ceremony can blend these common themes and symbols from a variety of traditions, into one which honors the many contributions made by Native Americans.

A couple may choose to be smudged with "sage", and include the "Calling Upon the Seven Directions" which is usually done at the beginning of a ceremony. This ceremony honors Mother Earth, Father Sky and the directions of the North, East, South and West; it can also be further complimented with meaningful Native American Prayers, Poems and/or Blessings.
