Sedona is a magical place. I will never forget when I first set my eyes on Sedona…I was amazed. It looked like Disneyland gone wild! In fact, I found out later that Walt Disney actually was inspired by a trip to Sedona many years ago and modeled his “Thunder Mountain Ride” after our very own Thunder Mountain! We both were in awe, “carved” red rocks everywhere, they looked like gigantic sculptures in fantasy like shapes, and the color, red, was like nothing we have seen before. Where were we, how did this happen here, how could this look so very different from Phoenix where we just left??? What a fun filled discovery…we stayed for a week; hiked, jeep toured, gallery hopped and of course t-shirt shopped and ate. On our second trip here, a few months later, we bought a home, and the rest is history! We learned later that we had acquired what is commonly called, “red rock fever”! I hope you can discover some of the same joy we found when we first arrived here, have an adventurous time in this special wonderland called, Sedona.
